The funniest thing I've read this week: Tomato NationAlright, it's been a while. I don't know, I needed an Internet break.
Lots of stuff going on I don't feel like writing about just yet, so I think I'll write about poker...our home game tournament was last night. The last few days online, and last Thursday's game - terrible. It's like my brain just shut off, I couldn't win a hand, couldn't win a game. Finally last night I caught a few, and came in first the first game. I think the second game was a meagre 5th place, but the blinds were already really high and there were three short stacks vs. 2 big stacks. Doug took me downtown with my AJs vs. his AKo, and then I busted out with 77 vs. Matt's A8o. All in all, I was pretty happy with the way I played and that makes me feel a little happier overall.
But then Maia saw a bug in her room at about 3 am, and me and my granny panties (couldn't find pjs) trucked ourselves into her twin bed and stayed there, tossing and turning but unable to get up and move, until 7. Neither of us (that's Maia and I, panties aside) were happy this morning, and I am contemplating a nap at lunchtime, although that never works out.
