Rane is one of the most successful unsigned bands in New England. Since forming some 5 years ago, their focus and determinationhave always been razor sharp. Alchemy's principal designer, Greg Garcia, met up with them when they were just starting out and still in high school. Impressed with their music, he did some pro bono design work for the up-and-comers. This eventually graduated [around the same time they did...] to paid print work of all kinds.
The most ambitious project came with the impending release of their 3rd CD: Camelopardalis. The band wanted the CD art to have an immediate visual appeal and translate the feelings of the music visually. Working with their official "sun logo" [created by Justin Novick], we cooked up the booklet and disk pictured here.
The record quickly became their best selling to date, and it's design spawned posters, tee shirts, stickers and more.
